Celebrating the story so far...

Today, I just wanted to pause and take the opportunity to say thank you. On Friday, BASE officially celebrated its 2nd birthday. I know it probably sounds slightly ridiculous, particularly as I’m not a mother (yet), but I honestly feel like I’m watching my baby grow up in the big wide world.

BASE was a concept I’d had in my head since I was a teenager. I can remember my skin being a in a real pickle, I’d spent over an hour walking up and down the aisles of Boots wondering what on earth to buy to fix it, and returned to the car completely overwhelmed and empty-handed.

I burst into tears as soon as I sat down and said ‘I wish someone would just create a skincare brand that put everything you needed in one kit’…For those who believe in manifestation, it may have taken 15 years, but we made it in the end 😉

When BASE launched in 2020, I was a mixture of nerves and excitement. We’d spent so long developing and perfecting the products that the thought of people actually trying them and having their own opinions made me feel slightly nauseous. I can only compare it to stage fright. That feeling where you know you couldn’t have rehearsed any more or practiced any harder, yet putting yourself out there gives you a severe case of the butterflies.

What I can tell you just 24 months later, is that I needn’t have worried. To me, YOU are the best part of BASE. The fact that you love the products, ethos and values as much as I do brings the place to life every single day and it truly wouldn’t be what it is without you.

The community we have built together breeds nothing but positivity and joy, and I am continually blown away by the real results and success stories you take the time to share with me every day. I hope you know that I truly treasure every message and am beyond delighted that we can help you achieve and exceed even your own skin goals.

As we look forward to the year ahead, my aim is to continue to grow this sense of community, to work on the list of product developments you have so kindly help me build and share as many skin tips, secrets and how-tos as Instagram will allow me to post! I am beyond grateful that you trust me with your skin and will do all I can to ensure you feel complete skin confidence through each chapter of life.

So, here’s to the next 22 years of BASE where we’ll all be perfectly preserved by our skincare routines!! The biggest, biggest thank you again 🥰
