My 3 skincare essentials this spring
Spring is truly a time for fresh starts and renewal as the weather is warmer, the nights are lighter and we are beginning to ease out of lockdown.
Although the Proactive Age Kit works perfectly all year round, I thought I’d share my top 3, spring skincare essentials to ensure your skin is as full of life, as the new season.
Essential #1. Protect
Last week on Instagram, I asked how many people had used retinol without applying SPF and I was shocked (and slightly worried) that 55% of people had. Retinol makes your skin more sensitive to the sunlight, so using it and not applying SPF (particularly in spring), is twice as dangerous.
Now I know that SPF is renowned for being the least sexy skincare product, but this is why I was so excited to create one that you’d actually enjoy using. Our BASE Protection - SPF 50 is super lightweight, non-greasy and sits beautifully underneath makeup.
As the weather heats up it’ll become more important than ever to keep your skin protected, so look after yourselves and make this last step in your morning routine, a priority.
Essential #2. Exfoliate
During the winter months our skin can become dull, dry and flaky due to a build-up of dead skin cells. In order to restore your radiant glow for the new season, we need to gently buff those dead skin cells away…think of it like spring cleaning for your skin.
By applying 3-5 drops of our Exfoliating Cell Renewal Serum each night, the Glycolic and Lactic Acid within the formula, will slough the dead skin cells away whilst you sleep.
You’ll wake up to completely revitalised, brighter-looking skin, every single morning and feel as fresh as a springtime daisy.
Fortunately it can all be prevented with 1 pump of our Super Serum as it’s specifically formulated with vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants undo the damage caused by the environment and ensure that your skin remains healthy, plump and even.
I hope you’re having a wonderful start to spring and make sure you kick back and unwind this bank holiday weekend. I certainly will be!
