3 Anti-inflammatory habits I swear by

3 Anti-inflammatory habits I swear by

Jul 26, 2026 Amy x

I can't quite believe it but Will and I are now less than 2 weeks away from getting married. And one thing we're both focusing on is reducing inflammation in our bodies to minimise dark circles, dull skin and of course any big red unwanted spots in the photos 🙈

The best way to do this is through food and I know you're already aware of the importance of protein, fibre and diet diversity. So I won't bore you with that!

Instead here are three easy everyday eating habits we've been sticking to, so we can glow without any extra effort ✨

1. Build a Default Menu

You may already know that my uniform is a little black dress and I have one for every occasion 🖤 It means I can get dressed without a second thought and it's one less thing to think about.

We do exactly the same with food. We each have a handful of easy, healthy meals we rotate and make sure the ingredients are always in the fridge, so we can't slip up when we're hangry, tired or genuinely can't be bothered. It stops the unnecessary panic shops and keeps our tummies and skin happy no matter how busy the day has been.

2. Add Before You Subtract

When it comes to eating, I often feel like we're encouraged to take things out of our diet. But for great gut health it's all about adding the right things in, ensuring our tummies have all the nutrients they need to work like a dream.

So if we're missing a healthy fat, we add a glug of olive oil to our salad. If we need extra greens, we add a chopped cucumber like we're feeding a toddler 😂 And if we've got no probiotics, we take our Youthfuel capsules and know we're covered.

I personally love the switch to a more abundant perspective in an area that so often champions deprivation. And the glow it creates from the inside out speaks for itself!

3. Leave Room for Joy

Chronic stress causes inflammation in your body, which can trigger gut issues like IBS and exacerbate skin concerns from acne to deep set wrinkles.

So rather than stressing about food, I now accept that eating is meant to bring us joy and doesn't require an all or nothing approach. Cakes, chocolates and treats are all welcome in moderation and are absolutely there to be enjoyed.

Because what's good for your soul is good for your skin too and prolonged food stress will always do more damage than an M&S cookie ever could 🍪

It really doesn't have to be more complicated than that! I hope these little habits help you feel as good as your skin looks and keep us both as present as possible in the pre-wedding magic ✨
