Over the past 18 months, we’ve been working on a new product that’s taken us as long to develop as The 5 Minute Kit. And for the first time ever, this creation isn’t topical skincare.
Ever since I qualified as an aesthetician, I’ve believed in an inside-out approach to skin health, because whatever is happening inside our bodies, always shows up on our faces too.
Of course, The 5 Minute Kit is there to treat all concerns on the surface. But what if we could also support the skin from within, helping prevent those concerns in the first place?
The Supplement Confusion I Wanted to Solve
Well, that’s where supplements come in. Over the past 5 years at BASE, I’ve written about them in these blogs, made endless Instagram videos and spent many hours talking to thousands of you about them too.
There’s been so much confusion around which supplements to take, how many different ones you need and why they matter.
So in the summer of 2024, I started daydreaming about how we could create the ultimate skin supplement solution. One that removed all the guesswork.
Creating the Ultimate Skin Supplement
We set about finding an incredible registered nutritionist to help us with the formulation and a team who could bring that formula to life. In our very first meeting, I actually said out loud, “I’m not sure if this is even possible, but here’s my dream...”
Just as The 5 Minute Kit is everything your skin will ever need on the outside, I wanted a supplement that would be everything your skin would ever need on the inside too.
That meant collagen to support plump, youthful-looking skin, pre and probiotics to improve the gut-skin connection, biotin and hyaluronic acid to strengthen the skin barrier and a unique blend of skin-loving vitamins so you can glow from within. Literally everything your skin needs in one, easy supplement.
A Vegan, Cruelty-Free Formula That Works
To match the BASE ethos, it also had to be 100% vegan, cruelty free and free from filler ingredients and nasties too.
Thankfully, we weren’t laughed out of the meeting. Instead, we worked through dozens of formulations, reruns and retrials together until we finally reached perfection. And Youthfuel was born ✨
