I can't quite believe it but by this time next week I'll officially be a Mrs 🙌🏼😍
I've already shared exactly what I'm not doing before the big day, so I thought this evening I'd let you in on my full glam plan for keeping my skin glowing from morning until night.
And of course you don't have to be getting married to follow it. It's the perfect prep for any special occasion, so please feel free to save it for when you need it 😉
The Wedding Eve
I know for a fact I'm going to be ridiculously overexcited the night before, so my main goal is to stick to my usual routine and bank as much beauty sleep as possible.
I'll start with my full everything shower, followed by my TLC Roller, even though it's not technically TLC Roller night. It's my secret to waking up with that filter-like glow and apparently washing your hair the night before gives it extra hold too!
After that it's all about relaxing my nervous system to prevent any last minute spots. For me that means yoga in my PJs followed by a classic 90s romcom in bed with my sisters. Heaven ✨
The Morning Of
If you've been around for a while you'll know that swapping to a savoury breakfast was a total game changer for me, so that's exactly what I've ordered. Too much sugar gives me the jitters and I want to feel as calm as possible.
When it comes to skincare, I'm not changing a single thing about my 5 Minute Kit routine, apart from an icy cleanse. The cold water gives a temporary tightening effect that looks absolutely lovely in photos.
I'm also doing my own makeup with two tricks up my sleeve. Setting spray before and after to keep everything in place and waterproof mascara. I usually avoid it because it's so drying on lashes, but panda eyes aren't quite the bridal look I'm going for 😂
The Main Event
As much as I love skincare, I'm an even bigger believer in being present and enjoying the moment rather than worrying about how I look.
So I'll do one check-in after dinner where I'll blot my face with a sheet of toilet paper and buff over my skin with a clean makeup brush. It blends everything back together for an instant refresh without adding more product or making my face look cakey.
Then it's straight back downstairs to dance the night away 🪩 And of course the day will end just as it started, with my beloved Kit. No matter how late bedtime is 🥰
