Why I'd Happily Age Like Jennifer Garner

Why I'd Happily Age Like Jennifer Garner

Jan 18, 2026 Amy x

Although I was a tad too preoccupied to watch the Golden Globes on Monday, Jennifer Garner seemed to quietly sparkle across my Instagram feed anyway.

I've always liked her, but not in a 'Hollywood obsession' way. More in a very human, 'I'd happily have coffee with her' sort of way. She seems kind, grounded, refreshingly normal and yes, she happens to be beautiful too. But that's never been the most interesting thing about her.

What I've always admired most is how openly she talks about taking care of herself.

Self-Care as a way of life, not a quick fix

She exercises because it makes her feel good mentally as much as physically. She adores baking for the people she loves, because she understands there's real magic in those small, everyday moments of joy. And she's always been honest about loving skincare, not as a way to erase every line, but as a genuine act of self-care.

She's also spoken openly about trying Botox once and deciding it wasn't for her. And that bold, honest choice really resonated with me.

On injectables and choosing what's right for you

I'm surrounded by injectables all the time. The conversations, the trends and the temptation to 'just tweak that one thing'. It now regularly comes up in casual conversations with friends too.

And I want to be very clear, as always. I have absolutely nothing against Botox. If something helps you feel confident, comfortable and like your best self, I'm always here for that.

But personally, I'm choosing a softer approach.

Why I'm devoted to consistency over correction

Like Jennifer, I love the process of looking after myself, on the inside as well as the out. I love consistency and I love routine, which is why I'm so devoted to my 5 Minute Kit. It gives my skin everything it needs, without interfering with the characteristics that make me, me.

So seeing Jennifer Garner's glowing skin on that red carpet felt like quiet reassurance. Her face is ageing naturally and yet she looked every bit as beautiful as women half her age, and just as radiant as those with full face lifts too.

Not because she was flawless and filtered, but because she looked happy, relaxed and completely at ease in her own skin.

The kind of beauty I'll always keep chasing

I've always believed that when your soul is happy, you shine brighter than any wrinkle ever could.

So yes, I would happily age like Jennifer Garner. And that's the kind of beauty I'll always keep chasing.
